Medan ikan bakar segar hj musa/pak tam @ Malacca

The food here is fresh and cheap! When you arrived, you will be greeted by lot of Malay people from different stalls. We choosed the stall that have most occupied tables 😁 Follow the majority should not be wrong.

Simple hot white rice cook with santan and a bit of sambal. Sambal is a Malay chilies style. Eating this alone, it’s already very satisfy. Life is wonderful because of them 😊

Ikan pari bakar – grilled stingray. It was so fresh. Juicy and I love the softness of the fish flesh. Delicious! The chili paste is not spicy. So-so only the paste. I suggest you dip the flesh with their special soy sauce. More spicy.

Ikan siakap 3 rasa – Deep fried seabass. Top up with famous Malay sauce. Spicy sour and sweet. Simple ingredients but bring out the freshness of the fish. Thumb up for their chef

Big squid cook with butter- I love the tenderness of the squid. Springy and fresh. The way it cook is not my flavor. Too much of butter taste. I still prefer squid to be deep fried or grill.

Kangkung belacan – Cook water spinach with Malay style chilies. Perfect match with the rice. Taste good. It would be more perfect if add in dried shrimp and not that watery.

Rebus Kerang -Boiled shell. Freshness is very important here. Dip with their special dark soy sauce. Super delicious πŸ˜‹ I love it so much!

Otak-otak – This is a Malay speciality food. They use fish flesh and mince till become paste. Stir it with their special ingredient. Wrap it with pandan leaf. Roast it on the fire rack. Hard to find the best version but this is taste good as well. Worth to order 😊

Hooray! It’s Friday!!! My favorite day 😊 This time we go to more close to village type of environment place.

French bean king – Delicious! Super delicious. Simple but it giving you mommy feeling. Home dish. Especially it’s stir with dried shrimp. The heat of the wok, get the French bean on fire! Super delicious!

Steam egg – Chinese style. It’s soft and smooth. Give you a warm feeling. Please serve hot. Cold not that nice. So better finish it up first😊

Claypot Tofu – Simple and nothing much to shout out πŸ˜… The best part is roasted pork found inside this dish!

Salty egg yolk fried squid – The highlight of the day!!! The egg yolk taste was so rich! Each squid covered with it. Eating non stop! Not able to stop it, in few minutes all gone πŸ˜‚

Siam fried fish- Our Eyes and mouth open big big!! Wow!! So big and so many garlic!!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Thank to the sour refreshing taste, it gone all till the bone gone from the plate! πŸ˜‚ highly recommend! Super crunchy and refreshing taste.

Nyonya cuisine!! I’m so hunger for nyonya food. This round I decided to visit this stall located behind the jonker street.

Look at the chilies dip and jenjaluk sauce! I really do believe that my eyes can taste it! Really saliva flow up. Hahaha

Our starter plate! Otak – otak and ngoh niang roll. The otak – otak texture is good but I prefer I still can see fish meat inside. Not all blended. The roll is my first time eat. It’s different from Penang type. Quite unique.

Asam fish!! Sour and little bit of spicy. Fresh fish stew with vegetables. Most important is the asam sauce!! Remember to mix with your rice. Yummy πŸ˜‹

Lemak nenas prawn! Slurp slurp. Triggering my saliva again! πŸ˜† The prawns are fresh and big. This sauce is another rice killer! You never enough rice with it. Remember to take the fresh sweet pineapple and dip it with the chillies! The feeling indescribable.😝

Sambal squid. Hmm.. This not spicy enough for me. Other than the freshness of the squid. Nothing to shout of.

Chicken buah keluak – oh this is my time eat this dish too. The boss demonstrate to us how to eat that big nut. Yes, the big black round item u see, it’s a nut. It taste similar like black bean but with an unique taste. Highly recommended πŸ‘β€‹

This is the way to eat buah keluak

Ayam ponteh – another type of nyonya  style of chicken that you must order. It give you a warm memory of those young time eating mama cook dish. Potato stewed till soft and absorbed chicken essence and gravy. Warm feeling eating it. Highly recommended.

Best dessert ever in this super hot city. The sweetness is just nice and still have the fragrant of the gula melaka. Generous with the amount of Cendol and red bean. Super delicious. Thumb up for themπŸ‘πŸ‘
